Welcome to The Box Coffee Bar

The Box Coffee Bar originally opened in July 2015 at 202 N. Main Street in Downtown Victoria. Our newest location is in the Town & Country shopping center at 2916 N Laurent St. We are open 6:30am - 6pm Monday through Saturday, and we are closed on Sunday. We may alter our hours for events including festivals, concerts, block parties, and parades so be sure to check in with us on Facebook for updates. 

For years, owner John Valdivia, originally from San Antonio, had wanted to open a coffee house in downtown Victoria, TX. He developed a love for coffee while in college, and an appreciation for the harvest while traveling throughout the Honduran, Guatemalan, and Salvadoran coffee growing regions.  He first got the inspiration for the Box Coffee Bar while attending classes at Nuova Simonelli’s offices in Ferndale, WA. “It seemed the landscape was dotted with very small drive-thru coffee bars” he often remarked. And while walking around larger cities such as New York and San Francisco, where both space and coffee are in high demand, he observed the efficient use of space.
